September Monthly Favorite's

Summer is over - school is back and that means getting back to routine, schedules and juggling all of life's many responsibilities. This month, I'm sharing more of my essential items that I use pretty much on the daily, to help me get through my days, keep me on track and keep me going.

Leaone Scale: Getting older comes with it's benefits and some not so benefits; one of them is managing your health. Gaining or losing weight wasn't anything I had to really pay much attention to, until recently (as I get older and have also been working out less). Bought this scale about a year ago, to help keep me accountable and make sure that the 1lb gained doesn't turn into 10lbs gained. It's sleek and minimal which works great in my bedroom, so that I can hop on in the morning and easily store out of the way.

Sonicare Toothbrush: I have literally had the same Sonicare toothbrush for about 16 years (I've replaced the actual toothbrush during those 16 years, of course). I absolutely will continue to use it until it no longer charges and will most definitely replace it with another Sonicare. With so many other things on my plate, it's nice to know that I have a toothbush that does the work for me!! P.S. have a hard time getting your kids to brush their teeth correctly? Get them one of these, as it helps make sure their teeth are properly brushed, even when they don't try.

Esarora Ice Roller: Don't have time to go for a facial? Yeah, me either! Wake up with puffy eyes or end your day with a killer headache? Then pick yourself up one of these!! Keep it in the freezer and pull out for a quick roll session, to reduce those tired eyes and jolt your skin awake with soothing coolness. BONUS: It's great to rub on your little one's forehead, or body, when they come down with a fever!

Pure Enrichment Heat Pad: Pure enrichment it is!! I literally use this heat pad EVERY night when I get into bed. Having a 2 hour commute plus sitting at a desk for 8 hours really leaves my body achy by the end of the day. I turn it on high and lay there with it on my back or neck for about 10 minutes (or longer). Just helps to relax my muscles at the end of my days and brings an added comfort with the warmth.

July Monthly Favorite's

This month's favorites are all about TRUE essential items in my kitchen. Cooking isn't an activity that I find true enjoyment in, as some people do, so when I cook I try to make it as easy as possible. Sharing some of my favorite kitchen essentials that help me make quick, simple, delicious meals and as a bonus, I've also put together a few of my favorite recipes using these essential kitchen items.

Hamilton Food Processor: I don't know how I lived my life without a food processor?! This little puppy can do just about anything; chop, dice, mix, blend, etc. If you use it for nothing else but to chop up an onion, so that you no longer cry, it is worth the price. If you are looking for a way to speed up your prep time, then this is the kitchen device for you.

Nutribullet: I bought my Nutribullet years ago, admittedly late one night on an infomercial (don't judge). Since then, I have bought them as Christmas gifts for close friends and family and am now on my second one. I've used it over the years for many different things, but my main purpose for it is for my morning smoothie. I don't have a lot of time in the morning, after the gym, dropping my son off at school and getting ready for work, so this makes for a quick and convenient breakfast. Also, I use it to make quick protein shakes for my son after practice. Have little one's? This is will also be great for making your own baby food. Many options, one great device.

Instant Pot: Not organized enough in life for a crock-pot? Yeah, me either. Planning my meals for the week is not a strength of mine, not even when I was a stay-at-home mom. So when this magical kitchen essential came into my life, all I can say is that my kitchen game was transformed. Anything you can do in a crock-pot, you can do in the Instant Pot, in literally a fraction of time. So no need to have your whole life planned out, or carve out additional time in the morning to prepare your crock-pot meal. Also serves as a rice cooker; Bonus!

Toaster Oven: There are about 5 items in my house that I would grab in a fire (aside from my child and cats); pictures, Sonicare toothbrush, extra set of clothes, my laptop and my toaster oven. Aside from this kitchen essential being the most important piece in my son's favorite meal (see my Favorite Recipe's for his favorite meal). Being a family of 2, single mom, working mom and entrepreneur - my days are pretty hectic and not a lot of time for all of the things I want to do in the kitchen. The toaster oven allows you to cook smaller meals the same way you would in the oven (it's perfect for those Trader Joe's appetizers when you're too tired to make dinner), or to reheat meals so that they don't taste microwaved. Plus, you can toast anything!

Keurig: I'm usually the last one on the 'trend train.' I just recently discovered gel nails and Bluetooth headphones.  So, if you are late to the Keruig train, don't worry - just go out and get yourself one! If you are a coffee drinker, or a busy - on the go - person, then there really isn't any reason why you don't have this. The perfect cup of coffee, made in less than a minute, and made exactly the same way, every time. Honestly, order now!! :)

April Monthly Favorite's

This month's favorites are all about TRUE essential items in our day to day. I've been in full-blown spring clean mode this month and these items are not making it to the donated pile.

Dohm White Noise Machine: You guys, this little machine has changed my life & dramatically increased the quality of my sleep.  For anyone who is a light sleeper, you need this machine!! The white noise helps mask background sounds, to help ensure you sleep like a baby. I think this machine has become like a security blanket for me now; I pack it when I travel and leave it on in the morning while I'm getting ready, as the noise helps keep the morning calm. Picture is of my Dohm right next to my bed.

Asakuki Diffuser: I got this little beauty as a Christmas gift this past year and it has quickly become one of my favorite home 'devices.' I use it a lot when I am doing work on the blog, my business and/or paying bills (orange is my favorite essential oil). Shane was recently home with the flu and used it in his room to help him feel better and purify the air. The design of it is simple, modern and minimalist - allowing it to blend into any environment. I also linked in the kit, a really great essential oil starter kit, for those of you like me who are just  joining the essential oil/diffuser bandwagon. Below is a picture of mine on my desk.

Universal Thread Backpack: I'm not really one to be ahead of the curve and so is the case in the backpack/purse combo trend. I don't know why this hasn't come into my life earlier? I tend to have bad shoulder and neck tension and one of the factors of my tension is carrying my purse on one shoulder. I found this SUPER CUTE backpack at Target (P.S. loving their Universal Thread line) and it is fantastic. You can carry it as both a purse and backpack, but the backpack feature is my favorite. Makes everyday errands so much more efficient, as you have both your hands free. Picture below was at my cousin's birthday party and another girl and I not only had the same backpack, we were also both in overalls and t-shirts. Great minds!!

Enjoy!!! <3 Kris & Chas

March Monthly Favorite's

Our March Favorite's are in the house! Just in time to SPRING FORWARD your life this month. This little kit has been curated to get you ready for breaking out of your winter shell and getting you ready to blossom over the next couple of months. Enjoy!!

L'Oreal Ever Pure Hair Mask: I can not begin to explain my love affair with this product! It has literally transformed my hair. I have extremely dry hair that is brittle and course. I randomly came across this product and after 5 minutes - it completely changed my hair. Even my sister couldn't believe it. This is a MUST have.

Hustle & Breathe: Brought to you by your very own butterfly, Kristin! I just launched this product line as a reminder to myself, moms and everyone that life is a messy balance; we should carry out each day with urgency and hustle to live out our purpose - but we also need to remember to stop, breathe and appreciate the beauty of life around us. I hope that my products will help you on your journey and serve as a daily reminder.

Fossil Smartwatch: I love the beauty and simplicity of this smartwatch. Perfect accessory to keep you on time after daylight savings. Bonus: the price point for this little beauty won't break the bank like some of the other watches out there.

Gap gFast Workout Leggings: Where have these been all my life? These leggings are the perfect balance of everything you need; comfortable, stylish, holds everything in place, flattering, etc. I have been buying mine off the sale items, which means you can get great workout pants for a steal. You don't have to spend a lot to look great and have quality products!

Nikon Coolpix Camera: I just recently decided I was going to dabble in photography. This little camera is the perfect starter camera to get one going - or - just to have on hand for capturing every day moments. Great price point & makes you look like you know what you are doing!
